i love quick and simple snacks. but sometimes it's the simple things that we don't think about. or, at least i don't think of them. i usually sit down with my notebook and flip through a myriad of complicated recipes that take more time or effort than i am willing to put into it. so, i'm writing this down for you and me, and will be adding it to my recipe notebook for when i need a quick idea for a finger food.
rolo pecan pretzels
put a sheet of parchement paper on a cookie sheet and preheat your oven to 170 degrees (or as low as it will go). lay out some pretzels (gluten free if you need them) on your parchment paper. top with 1 rolo each and place in the oven for 10 minutes or until candy is soft. remove from the oven and smoosh a pecan on top. wait til cooled to remove and keep them in an airtight container.
p.s. like my attempt at a "close things in focus, distant things blurry" effect? i've been reading some tutorials and playing with my camera settings. after having this camera for 3 years, i'm actually using more than just the "auto" setting. :)
