fun size tortes!

remember the flourless chocolate torte recipe that i shared before Christmas?  well, last night the hubby and i enjoyed these as a tiny microwave version.  :)  it's pretty simple so i thought i would share.

flourless chocolate torte-ettes
about 1/8 - 1/4 c. chocolate chips
1 T. butter
2 T. sugar
1/2 of a beaten egg
2 t. cocoa powder (i use dark cocoa powder)

you will want to use a large, microwave safe mug.
(i used this red one with a rounded bottom.  yet for some reason it turned out better on my husbands, who had a mug with straight sides and a squared bottom.  i think it was easier for the torte to rise in it.  anyway...)

add your butter and chocolate chips to the mug.

melt the butter and chocolate, microwaving in short increments so you don't burn the chocolate.

add sugar

add your 1/2 egg & cocoa powder
(since i was making 2, i simply beat an egg in a small bowl and guessed at what 1/2 was.  you could always use a whole egg or save back the other half and add to your breakfast.)

microwave for 1 minute (a little more or less depending on your mug).  be sure to let it cool down a little as it will be very, VERY HOT!

it's super tasty plain with a glass of milk, or with your favorite brownie toppings.  enjoy!
